The odd-even road scheme will be implemented in Delhi from 4th to 15th November. The move is aimed at combating high levels of air pollution in Delhi-NCR. The restriction will not be applicable on two-wheelers, vehicles carrying school children and vehicles used for medical emergencies. Schemes will be applicable from 8 AM to 8 PM, except on Sundays.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved a proposal for admission of girl children in Sainik Schools from academic session 2021-22 in a phased manner.  India’s DRDO successfully test-fired a land-attack version of BrahMos supersonic missile from Chandipur coast in Odisha’s Balasore district on 30th Sept,2019. The missile, with a strike range of 290km, can be fired from land as well as sea based platforms, DRDO conducted the test-fire successfully.
South Korea displayed some of its newly purchased U.S.-made F-35 stealth fighter jets for the first time. The jets were displayed on the ground at the start of the ceremony during its Armed Forces Day ceremony on 1st October,2019 at an airbase in southeastern South Korea. The development introduced by the country will likely infuriate rival North Korea.
