NEWS 27-06-2018. NEWS FOR 29-JUN (FRIDAY) 1. Mongolia has launched the construction of its first oil refinery with $1 billion Indian aid. 2. The Indian Army Contingent of the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan was awarded and commended for its diligent service. 3. India, Seychelles have signed 6 MoUs which includes the area of infrastructure, cyber security, education and white shipping. The agreements were signed after bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Seychelles President Danny Faure in New Delhi. 4. Punjab Govt. has launched the ‘i-Hariyali’ app to increase the state’s green cover. 5. Gujarat Government has launched Suryashakti Kisan Yojana, a solar power scheme for farmers which will enable them to generate electricity for their consumption and allows them to sell the surplus power back to the grid and earn an extra income. 6. The Indian Coast Guard Ship ‘Rani Rashmoni’ , an indigenously developed fast patrol vessel was commissioned in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. 7. The Indra Exercise, a Tri-service joint India-Russia military exercise will be conducted in India in the latter half of 2018. 8.
