*National News*

1. C. P. Radhakrishnan, Maharashtra Governor and NDA candidate, will become India’s 15th Vice President, succeeding Jagdeep Dhankhar.
2. India unveiled Vikram 3201, its first fully indigenous 32-bit microprocessor for space applications, jointly developed by ISRO and Semiconductor Laboratory, Chandigarh.
3. Andhra Pradesh is going to develop a ?400 crore Space City in Tirupati for private satellite launches, along with two defence manufacturing hubs with ?3,000 crore investment.
4. Govt has launched Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited with ?105 crore funding to provide low-interest loans to rural women entrepreneurs.
5. India’s literacy rate has increased to 80.9% in 2023–24, while Himachal Pradesh became fully literate with a 99.3% rate, announced on International Literacy Day 2025.

*Defence News*

1. India is modifying Su-30 fighter jets to test a new air-launched long-range land attack cruise missile (LRLACM) with 1500 km strike range, expected to be operational by 2027.
2. India will participate in two major military exercises with Russia – Zapad in Russia and Indra in India next month – to strengthen strategic cooperation.

*International News*

1. India’s FTA with the European countries Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein FTA will come into effect from Oct 1, 2025.
2. India & Singapore have signed five MoUs covering green & digital, shipping corridor, space sector cooperation, civil aviation R&D, & digital asset innovation.
3. China has pulled back from funding Pakistan’s CPEC rail project due to repeated attacks on Chinese workers & the rising costs.
4. PM Modi and Singapore PM Wong virtually inaugurated Phase-II of PSA Mumbai Terminal at JN Port, Navi Mumbai – India’s largest container terminal with 4.8 million TEU capacity.
5. Japan Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba resigned as PM.
6. India and Israel have signed a bilateral investment agreement in New Delhi to boost economic ties & enhance Israeli exports.
7. Nepal’s PM K P Sharma Oli resigned amid violent protests. The mass student uprising in Nepal is a mirror image of what happened in Sri Lanka & Bangladesh.
8. Israel launched an airstrike in Doha, Qatar, targeting Hamas leaders, resulting in five deaths, drawing widespread condemnation.

1. India defeated Korea 4-1 in the men’s Asia Cup Hockey final, securing a place in next year’s Hockey World Cup.
2. In football, India defeated Oman 3-2 on penalties to secure third place in the CAFA Nations Cup.
