1. UK withdrew its candidate, Christopher Greenwood, from International Court of Justice(ICJ), resultantly  Justice Dalbeer Bhandari was elected for a second term. This is the first time since 1946 that UK will have no representative at the ICJ.

2.  President Robert Mugabe of Zimbawe resigned after 37 yrs of Presidency on 21st Nov. This came after the lawmakers started the impeachment proceedings against him. Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa is to take over his post.

3.  Central Board of Exise and Customs (CBEC) has asked FMCG companies to immediately revise MRP on products for which GST has been reduced to pass the benefit to consumers. Dabur, ITC have announced price reductions of 8-10% & 10-40%, respectively.

5. India & Philippines signed four agreements on the bilateral summit in Manila on 14th Oct, PM Modi for rules-based regional security architecture, reflecting a growing convergence among India.

6. Nepal cancelled the Budhi Gandaki hydropower project which was contracted to a Chinese company. Unconfirmed reports said that the project might go to India’s NHPC instead. 

7.  As a part of the ongoing Indo-Bangladesh defense cooperation, an army training capsule on counter-insurgency operations will be conducted in Patna’s Danapur Cantonment from November 13, 2017 to December 10, 2017.

8.  Chief of Army Staff Bipin Rawat on 2nd nov, approached the HRD ministry  to incorporate acts of valour, bravery & sacrifice of some gallantry award winners in the CBSE syllabus from the next academic year.

9. China is believed to be planning to build a 1,000 km tunnel—the world’s longest—to carry water from Tibet to Xinjiang, a barren region in northwest China. However, the proposal is still at its initial stage and China has officially denied it.
