1. Th Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has constructed the world's highest motorable road at a height of over 19,300 ft in J&K's Ladakh under 'Project Himank', the 86 km strategic road connects several villages located 230 km from Leh.

2. The Defence has accorded acceptance of necessity (AoN) for the procurement 111 naval utility helicopters (NUHs) worth Rs 21,738 crore for Indian Navy. 

3. India jumped to the 100th spot in World Bank's Ease of Doing Business rankings, up 30 places from last year. It took stocks to heights as the Nifty closed above 10,400 for the first time and sensex gained 387 points to a new record.

5. Chief of Army Staff Bipin Rawat on 2nd nov, approached the HRD ministry  to incorporate acts of valour, bravery & sacrifice of some gallantry award winners in the CBSE syllabus from the next academic year.

6. China is believed to be planning to build a 1,000 km tunnel—the world’s longest—to carry water from Tibet to Xinjiang, a barren region in northwest China. However, the proposal is still at its initial stage and China has officially denied it.
