1.       India, Brazil and South Africa (IBSA) have signed the IBSA Trust Fund Agreement that seeks to fight poverty in developing countries. It was signed at the 8th IBSA trilateral Ministerial Commission Meeting in Durban, South Africa.

2.       Indigenously-built anti-submarine warfare stealth corvette INS Kiltan was commissioned an into the Indian Navy. It is India’s first major warship to have a superstructure of carbon fibre composite material resulting in improved stealth features, lower top weight and lower maintenance costs.

3.       India and Japan have signed memorandum of cooperation (MoC) on Technical Intern Training Programme (TITP) to expand the bilateral cooperation in the field of skill development. Under it, India will send youngsters to Japan as technical interns for on-the-job training for a period of three to five years.

4.       PM Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali with troops along the LOC in J&K’S Gurez sector on 19th Oct. The PM lauded the soldiers for their sacrifice calling them ‘family’. This is the fourth successive Diwali that PM has celebrated with Jawans on the border.

5.       Islamabad based accountability court indicted PM Nawaz sharif, his daughter and son-in-law in connection with corruption cases filed against them by country’s anti-corruption watchdog in the Panama papers case verdict.
