NEWS 22-09-2017. NEWS FOR 23-SEPT (SATURDAY) 1.On September 20 2017, Our Home Ministry informed that India’s National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is going to conduct a disaster management exercise between October 10-13 in New Delhi with BIMSTEC countries. It will be conducted in two phases in Delhi. The main exercise will comprise of Table Top Exercise, Field Training Exercise and After Action Review. 2.The Government of Singapore has proposed to set up Skill Center at Guwahati by 2019. Dr Jitendra Singh from the Ministry of development of north east nations will coordinate in this initiative. 3.On 20th September 2017, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) nominated Mahendra Singh Dhoni for the Padma Bhushan award. 4.India defeated Australia by 50 runs in the second ODi played on 21-Sep in Kolkatta. Virat Kohli was declared the man of the match for scoring 92 runs. 5.The US Army and the Israel Defense Forces inaugurated a permanent base In Israel.
