NEWS 10-07-2017. NANO MATERIAL The Govt has decided to set up a Rs 3000 cr foundry at IISc Bengaluru to produce most modern nano material, called, “Gallium Nitride”. The leader for the production of Gallium Nitride is Associate Professor Srinivasal Raghwah. Gallium Nitride is fast emerging as a superior alternative to Silica based semiconductors. It is expected to generate approx $700 million by 2020, from the current range of $3000 million. GaN is the futuristic nano material, vital for Radars, ultra modern fighter jets, drones and has many other industrial utility. < < Back
