Summary of Mar

1.The *unemployment rate in the country has decreased* from 6% during 2017-18 to 3.2 % in 2023-24.
2.Govt has *distributed around 37 crore LED bulbs* across the country under the UJALA scheme. The scheme has saved about 48 billion kiloWatt per hour of energy per year.
3.Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and L&T Technology Services have announced partnerships with Nvidia to *develop advanced AI solutions* across various sectors.
4.PM Surya Ghar, Muft Bijli Yojana, has completed 10.09 lakh installations across the country as of the 10th of March.
5.ISRO has launched a total of 393 foreign satellites and 3 Indian customer satellites, thus earning a revenue of 143 million US dollars.
6.NITI Aayog has declared India to be the 5th largest economy of the world, boasting a GDP of 4.3 trillion dollars in 2025.
8.India has planned to have its *own space station, namely Bharat Antariksh Station*. Indian astronaut is planned to be on the Moon by 2040.
9.Chandrayaan-4 is India’s fourth lunar mission, set to be launched in Oct '27. ISRO aims to soft land on the Moon & bring back lunar samples to earth.

*International*

1.PM Modi has become the first Indian to receive the highest civilian award of Mauritius, *Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean*.
2.China has announced a 7.2% increase in its defence budget for 2025.
3.World’s most advanced *multi-role stealth guided missile frigate, Tamal*, is about to join the IN. This warship is capable of launching the BrahMos anti-ship missile.
4.*India has doubled its GDP* in the last 10 yrs at a growth of 105 %, from 2.1 trillion dollars in 2015 to 4.3 trillion dollars in 2025.

*Defence*

1.India & Russia have signed a $248 million deal for procuring 1,000 HP engines for the T-72 tanks.
2.India and France have finalized negotiations for the purchase of 26 Rafale-M fighter aircraft, valued at approximately USD 7.6 billion.
3.China has reinforced its strategic partnership with Pakistan by delivering the second Hangor-class submarine, part of a $5 billion deal for eight such vessels.
4.The Cabinet Committee on Security has approved a Rs 7,000 crore deal to procure 307 advanced towed artillery gun systems (ATAGS) and 327 gun-towing vehicles for the Army. Developed by DRDO, the ATAGS have a strike range of 45-48 km and will boost homegrown manufacturing capabilities. 5.India’s Defence Production has risen to a record 1.27 Lakh Crore in 2023-24. The value of defence production has surged by 174%.

1.In Tennis, India's Vaidehi Chaudhary and Rashmika Bhamidipaty have clinched the W35 Nonthaburi Women's Doubles title in Thailand.
2.India clinched the Champions Trophy defeating New Zealand by 4 wickets.
3.Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh and senior goalkeeper Savita Punia won the Hockey India Balbir Singh Senior Player of the Year award in the men's and women's categories respectively.
4.India has clinched both the Men’s and Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 in England.
