*INTERNATIONAL NEWS*

1.PM Narendra Modi visited France & co-chaired AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
2.Indian PM also visited USA for 2 days on the invitation of American President Donald Trump. The meeting between the 2 leaders was a huge success covering large areas like defense, trade, space, terrorism etc.
3.India Energy Week 2025 was inaugurated, declaring India to be the first nation in the world to meet goals of agreements of the Paris G20 meet.

*National News*

1.The 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela will be held from 07 Feb to 23 Feb 2025 in Surajkund Haryana. This famous fair is a grand celebration of arts, crafts, handlooms, and culture.

*Defence News*

1.The Indian Navy's First Training Squadron (INS Sujata, INS Shardul, and ICGS Veera) arrived at Changi Naval Base, Singapore, on 6th February 2025, as part of its Long-Range Training Deployment to Southeast Asia. The visit aims to enhance maritime cooperation and mutual understanding.
2.The Astra MK-3, a next-generation Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM), is under development in India to enhance the Indian Air Force's (IAF) air combat capabilities. It is expected to provide a much-needed capability to the IAF, equipping it with a long-range air-to-air missile capable of engaging enemy aircraft at supersonic speeds, providing multi-layered defence against potential threats.
3.The third edition of the joint military EXERCISE CYCLONE between India and Egypt is being held at Mahajan Field Firing Range in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The exercise will continue until 23 February.

*Sports News*

1.The 2025 National Games kicked off with the triathlon events on January 26. Sarungbam Athouba Meitei won the men's individual triathlon event to log the first gold medal of the competition in Manipur’s favour.
2. In 4x400m men’s relay witnessed Tamil Nadu claim the gold medal, while host state Uttarakhand delivered an impressive performance to take silver. In the women’s 4x400m relay, Punjab bagged gold, while Karnataka secured silver.
3. In the 3000m steeplechase, Uttarakhand’s Ankita ran a phenomenal race to win the gold, with a silver medal going to an athlete from Madhya Pradesh.
4. In Snooker: Pankaj Advani Wins 36th National Title, Secures Spot in Asian & World Championships.
