1. Indian Army has raised the first ever Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM) Regiment. Medium Range Surface to Air Missiles, also known as 'Abhra' is an air defence system developed by the DRDO & the Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI). The state-of-the-art missile system is capable of hitting multiple targets at a range of 70km.
2. DRDO will equip Astra air-to-air missile system on Indian Air Force's Sukhoi Su-30MKIS, Light Combat Aircraft TEJAS MK-1A and MiG-29 UPG. Astra is a beyond visual range (BVR) air-to-air missile system which has been indigenously designed and developed to take down enemy aircraft and drones.
3. Russia has recently proposed to manufacture its Sukhoi Superjet civil aircraft in India.
