1. Indian Navy and Indian Airforce have decided to induct the women officers in Special forces of respective forces namely MARCOS and Garuda. This will boost the confidence of women officers and women in general. Also, improving gender parity in forces.
2. Exercise Surya Kiran conducted Between India and Nepal. It is the 16th edition of joint training exercise between neighbours strengthening the military alliance. It's important as China's encroachment is increasing around the Nepal borders too.
3. Guided Missile destroyer INS Murmagao got commissioned in Indian Navy on 18 December. Indigenously built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited. This is vishakapatnam class Destroyer. Equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and sensors, modern surveillance radars, STA and STS missile.
4.Fifth Scorpene class submarine Vagir under project-75 dilevered to Indian Navy by France. These submarines equipped with wide range naval combat capabilities. Total of 6 scorpene class subamrines are to be made under this project of which 5 are delivered to Indian Navy till now.

5. As per National Education Policy 2020, now students have to do 4 years of Honours degree, instead of 3 years for any UG course. This will include focus on keeping syllabus aligned with current market demands and one year on in-hand training to skill the youth to combat issue of increasing unemployment in India.
6. India's wholesale price index-based inflation eased to a 21-month low of 5.85 per cent in November from 8.39 per cent in October.
7. Rupee Trade Settlement system attracts more attention after getting acceptance from UAE,SAARC bodies. It is an attempt to internationalise the rupee exchange settlements. This will help in countering China's dominance and aslo break clutches of dollar in international trade.
8. India to build 1700km road along Yangtze river eyeing China's encroachment (CABBAGE STRATEGY) in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh. This is crucial as it will aid faster movement of defence troops and also developing the region.
9.Three more Indian Sites are added to UNESCO Tentative World Heritage Sites those are Vadangar Gujrat, Sun temple at Modhera Gujrat, Rock cut relief at Unnakoti. These will boost the Tourism industry of India which is a great contributer to $5 trillion economy goal.

10. Russia has once again supported India for a permanent seat in UNSC. This will enable India to be more efficient in world affairs.

11. ISRO has Successfully Conducted Joint Hypersonic Vehicle Trials in priliminary stage.
12. ISRO is working on cleaning and space debris. Debris includes defunct satellites, discarded rocket stages and other orbital trash.
13. World Bank Prospects reveals that the global recession will continue as the growth of global economy is not upto the mark. The reason being Price rise due to Russia-Ukraine war, rising debt for poor countries etc.

14. 22nd Men's FIFA World Cup was won by Argentina after they defeated France in the finals on a penalty shootout after the final score was 3-3. The golden glove award was given to Argentina's goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, while the Golden Boot winner was Kilyan Mbappe of France. The Golden Ball award was presented to Lionel Messi of Argentina.
