1. BJP won 4 out of the 5 states that went to the polls i.e. UP, Manipur, Uttarakhand & Goa. Meanwhile AAP scored a landslide victory in Punjab.

2. India - Japan bilateral Army exercise, Dharma Guardian was concluded at Belgaumn recently. Both contingents shared their expertise on exploiting disruptive technologies like drone and anti drone weapons.

3. The United States on 8th of Mar rejected an offer by Poland to transfer its Russian-made MiG-29 fighter jets to a U. S. base in Germany and put them at the disposal of the United States as a way to replenish Ukraine's air force.

4. Russia has banned the export of over 200 products till the end of this year after the US, EU & others hit the country with sanctions over the invasion of Ukraine.

5. India has become the fifth most valued stock market, beating the UK, Canada & Saudi Arabia with a value above $3 trillion. Currently, the US is the world's biggest market valued at $47.32 trillion followed by China ($11.52 trillion), Japan ($6 trillion) and Hong Kong ($5.55 trillion).

6. India's much-delayed project for indigenous artillery seems to be finally reaching its conclusion, with the towed howitzer, Dhanush, clearing firing trials and the Advanced Tower Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) set to begin its last round of testing this month.

7. In collaboration with DRDO, the HAL has begun producing India's Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). The plan calls for the IAF & Indian Navy to be equipped with a 5.5 Generation twin-engine stealth fighter.

8. The Indian Navy has taken deliveries of unspecified number of Israeli Smash 2000 Plus system that it had ordered to be used as a close-in anti-drone system. Smart shooter's SMASH 2000 plus fire control systems, will be installed mainly on AK-47 & AK 203 rifles.

9. Recently, the Garuda 105 V2, an ultra light weight artillery gun system, was demonstrated by Bharat Forge, a subsidiary of the Kalyani Group, based on an indigenous design. The Garuda 105 which can be mounted on light tactical vehicles & trucks are four artillery systems that have been tested by the Indian Army.

10. Indian women’s cricket team defeated Pakistan in their opening match of the ongoing ICC Women’s cricket world cup. They lost their 2nd match to New Zealand & won their 3rd against West Indies, placing them in a good position to qualify.
