The government has circulated official amendments to the GST bill to drop 1% additional manufacturing tax & to include a fixed provision in the statute for compensating states for revenue loss for 5 years which would be introduced in the Rajya Sabha on 3^rd August 2016. The GST bill will establish a separate mechanism for solving disputes.
