1. IAF is participating in a massive multi-national aerial combat exercise 'Blue Flag 2021', hosted by the Israeli Air Force. Germany, Italy, Britain, France, India, Greece and the United States will all take part in this exercise.
2. Our Prime Minister recently inaugurated the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan. This plan intends to bring together 16 infrastructure related Ministries. It is a Rs. 100 lakh-crore project for developing 'holistic infrastructure' of India.
3. The Govt has formed an organization called the Indian Space Association (ISPA). ISpA is a private industry which
will participate and work with ISRO on capacity building and space economic hubs and incubators in India.
4. The Indian Railways has launched 2 long haul freight trains 'Trishul' and 'Garuda' in the South Central Railways (SCR). These trains are twice or multiple times longer than the normal composition of freight trains.
5. India has retained 3rd rank in the 58th Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index (RECAI) 2021 released by Ernst & Young on attractiveness of their renewable energy investment and deployment opportunities. Rank 1 is held by US, followed by China.
6. 200 Chinese PLA troops were detained by the Indian Army as they had crossed the LAC in Tawang. Later they were released after talks between senior military officers of both countries.
7. The Taliban held their first face-to-face talks with a joint US-EU delegation in Qatar. The Taliban are trying hard in seeking recognition, as well as assistance to avoid a humanitarian disaster, after they returned to power in August following the withdrawal of US troops.
8. India has approved to provide $200 million Line of Credit (LoC) support to Kyrgyzstan for development projects.
9. India has lost to Denmark in the Thomas cup quarter finals. It was the first time in 11 years, India had qualified in the Thomas Cup badminton quarter-finals.
10. India defeated Nepal 3-0 to win the SAFF championship for the 8th time.
