During Indo-Japan Summit in New Delhi on
December 12, 2015 Indo Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Prime Minister of
Japan, Shinzo Abe inked number of pacts in Key areas like high-speed rail, nuke
energy, transportation and defence.
India’s first bullet train network will come
up between Mumbai and Ahmedabad at a cost of Rs 98,000 crore
As for the high-speed rail network, it will
be built on the Shikansen model known for its reliability and safety.
Japan will provide an extraordinary package
of approximately $12 billion and technical assistance for the same.
