·      PM Modi met US President Barack Obama on   Sep ’15.He sought America’s  support to complete the UN reform process “within a fixed time frame”.

·      They spoke about innovation & technology for achieving Sustainable Development Goals, including combating climate change & conserving nature.

·      PM Modi also assured that 175 GW of renewable energy would be added in India by 2022.

·       Discussions were also held regarding defence trade & training to counter terrorism. They also had a successful cyber security dialogue.

·      They also shared views on strengthening maritime security cooperation by engaging in joint exercises in Asia, Pacific & Indian Ocean with regional partners like Japan.

·      India & US along with American Aviation Giant Boeing also signed a $3 billion deal for the purchase  of 22 Apache helicopters & 15 Chinook choppers.
