Andhra Pradesh CM, Chandrababu Naidu released river Godavari into Krishna to mark the formal linking of the two rivers creating history.

On one side India does not have sufficient water for 70% of its agricultural land. On the other side there is perpetual flood every year. In order to control it, if the rivers are interconnected the floods will be easily control.
