1. The Indian Army will have first Dhanush regiment by march 2020. Dhanush is the indigenously upgraded variant of the Swedish Bofors Gun imported in the 1980s.

2. 
India and Uzbekistan signed three memorandums of understanding to enhance cooperation in military medicine and military education. India has offered a concessional line of credit of $40 million for procurement of goods and services by Uzbekistan.


3. 
India has decided not to join the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) deal as negotiations failed to address India’s issues and concern.


4. 
The US has formally notified the United Nation that it was withdrawing from the Paris climate accord. The agreement brought together 188 nations to combat climate change


5. 
The labour ministry has suggested 9 hours of regular working day in its draft wage code as against 8 hours now but stayed away from fixing a national minimum wage. The draft will be finalised in Dec after it receives public comments for a month.

India’s defence budget will be augmented by more than Rs60,000 crore over the next years owing to exemption from customs duty and goods & servicestax that kicked in on October 1.

India will be one of the guest of Honour country at China’s second International Import Expo to be opened at Shanghai on 5th Nov where it plans to make a strong pitch for exports of its pharma, IT and agricultural products among others.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and development (OCED) has anticipated that India’s gross domestic could grow 6.6% in 2020-2024, lower than its 2013-17 average of 7.4%.

The govt will set up help desks in police stations across the country more and anti-human trafficking units in all districts using Nirbhaya fund.
