The Enforcement Directorate has arrested congress leader P Chidambaram for connection with its probe in the INX media money laundering case.INX media got its Foreign Investment Promotion Board approvals in 2007-2008 when Chidambaram was Union Finance Minister. 2. The odd-even road scheme will be implemented in Delhi from 4th to 15th November. The move is aimed at combating high levels of air pollution in Delhi-NCR. The restriction will not be applicable on two-wheelers, vehicles carrying school children and vehicles used for medical emergencies. Schemes will be applicable from 8 AM to 8 PM, except on Sundays. 3. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved a proposal for admission of girl children in Sainik Schools from academic session 2021-22 in a phased manner. The decision is in line with the objective of the government towards greater inclusiveness, gender equality and enabling greater participation of women in Armed Forces. 4. India – Bangladesh Navies undertook coordinated patrol(CORPAT) in Bay of Bengal. The exercise aims at development of mutual communication and sharing of best practices between the two navies. Guided-missile destroyer INS Ranvijay and missile corvette INS Kuthar are participating in the exercise. 5. Indian-American economist Abhijeet Banerjee has won the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics along with Esther Duflo and Micheal Kremer for their experimental approach to alleviating global poverty. 6. Chinese president Xi Jinping attened the the second informal meeting with PM Modi at Mamallapuram near Chennai. They held comprehensive talks on issue concerning the bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues. 7.
