The scheme aims to strengthen the country’s Panchayati Raj system and fill critical gaps that stops its success. 2. Government of India and World Bank have signed USD 210 million agreement to improve the rural road network in Madhya Pradesh. 3. As per World Bank,India retained number 1 position as recipient of remittances with the people sending USD 69 back home. 4. Government has removed AFSPA from Meghalaya and parts of Arunachal Pradesh. 5. Coastal security exercise Gagan Shakti was conducted in Kerala to strengthen and assess the loopholes in the coastal security. 6.
