According to Central Statistics Office (CSO), Index of Industrial Production (IIP) had grown to7.1% in February 2017. It was mainly due to efficient performance of manufacturing sector along with higher offtake of capital goods and consumer durables. 3.NHAI signed agreement to start work on India-Myanmar-Thailand Highway.It is a 1000 km long project and will help in easy movement of goods and trade,promote tourism and boost economies. 4. 10th edition of Defence Expo (DefExpo 2018) was held in Chennai.Over 47 countries participated in it and India’s indigenously developed land, air and naval systems were showcased during the expo. 5.
