NEWS 15-11-2017. NEWS FOR 17-NOV (FRIDAY) 1. The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit was held in Da Nang, Vietnam, on 13th oct, in which 21 pacific rim countries participated. The theme of summit was ‘Creating New Dynamism & Fostering a Shared Future’. 2. India & Philippines signed four agreements on the bilateral summit in Manila on 14th Oct, PM Modi for rules-based regional security architecture, reflecting a growing convergence among India. 3. Nepal cancelled the Budhi Gandaki hydropower project which was contracted to a Chinese company. Unconfirmed reports said that the project might go to India’s NHPC instead. 4.
