NEWS 06-11-2022. News For 7th-Nov (Monday) *Defence news* 1. Indian Air Force & French Air and Space Force (FASF) participated in a bilateral exercise 'Garuda' from 26 Oct to 12 Nov 2022 at Air Force Station Jodhpur. Su-30MKI, Rafale, LCA Tejas, Jaguar, LCH & Mi-17 Helicopters are participating from IAF side. 2. The recent incidents of drone surveillance from Pakistan have prompted the Indian Army to install two systems including quadcopter jammers (called Aqua Jammers) and multi-shot guns on the Line of Control (LoC). The two systems have been deployed around 400 metres behind the LoC. The aqua jammer can detect drone signal up to a range of 5km. 3. C-295 transport aircraft for the IAF is to be manufactured by Tata-Airbus at Vadodara in Gujarat. Apart from making 40 aircraft, this facility at Vadodara in Gujarat would be manufacturing additional aircraft for Air Force requirements and exports. 4. Amid reports of China building new military infrastructure on its side, India is soon going to begin the construction work for upgrading its Nyoma advanced landing ground for fighter aircraft operations less than 50 kilometres from the LAC in eastern Ladakh. 5. UAE-based small arms manufacturer has signed a partnership agreement with India’s leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, ICOMM to locally manufactured small arms for Indian defense forces as well as the exports market. *National news* 1. Indian govt has approved Maharastra's first electronics manufacturing cluster at Ranjangaon, Pune. The objective is to strengthen electronics manufacturing ecosystem in india. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has said that India has emerged as a leading country in the world in delivery of Digital Health services and the recent launch of 5G will bring a new revolution in Digital Health care system in India. *Sports news* 1.Defending champions Spain won the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup with a 1-0 victory over first-time finalists Colombia whose campaign ended in a heartbreak after an own goal in the summit clash, held in India. *International news* 1.The United Nations, Turkey and Ukraine on 31st Oct 2022 agreed to implement a Black Sea grain deal despite Russia's withdrawal from the pact. Black Sea grain Initiative was launched by Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Nations on 22 July 2022. This initiative was set up to reintroduce vital food and fertilizer exports from Ukraine to the rest of the world. 2. G 20 head of state and government summit is going to be held at Bali, Indonesia. The meeting has set three priority issues of Global Health Architecture, Digital Economy Transformation, and Energy Transition. 3.Dr. Srivari Chandrasekhar, inaugurated the 1st ASEAN-India Start-up Festival (AISF) in Bogor, Indonesia.
