NEWS 21-08-2022. News For 22nd-Aug (Monday) 1. *L&T has taken the first step in producing *Green Hydrogen* in its Hazira plant located in Gujrat. Initially it is producing 45 Kg of Green Hydrogen daily to be scaled to 800 KW, backed up by rooftop solar energy. Multiple companies have forged partnership with L&T for Green Hydrogen sollutions in their own companies. 2. Exercise *PITCH BLACK* is going to be conducted in Australia, by Air Force of 17 countries, including USA, UK, Germany, France & many others. India is participating with 4 Su 30 MKI aircrafts. Although it is a regular Exercise, but it will act as a deterance to China. 3. *ONGC of India & ExxonMobil of USA*, have signed an agreement for *deep water exploration* in Krishna-Godavari & Cauvery basins in East, as well as Kutch-Mumbai region in the West, to boost India's domestic production of oil & gas. 4. *NASA is about to send its astronauts to moon again.* Ths US space agency is currently focusing on the launch of its Artemis I rocket which is scheduled to be launched on August 29, 2022. 5. *Udarashakti*, a four-day bilateral exercise between India & Malaysian AF was recently conducted in Malaysia. India took part with Su-30 MKI and C-17 aircraft, while Malaysia took part with their Su 30 MKM aircraft. 6. India recently handed over a *Dornier maritime surveillance aircraft* to Sri Lanka Navy. 7. USA is going to provide Ukraine with USD 800 million worth of military aid, including at least a dozen Scan Eagle surveillance drones. 8. *FIFA*, the world football’s governing body, has banned the All India Football Federation, due to *"undue interference by a third party"*. The ban has led to India losing its host status for U-17 Women’s World Cup and cost Indian football team's participation in international competitions. < < Back
