With a good monsoon & an allocation of Rs.5000 crore in the supplementary budget, the MGNREGA scheme has got a boost. On an average the MGNREGA wages have gone up from Rs.167 to Rs.248 per day this year. This has come as a boon to provide employment in the rural areas.
