1. Russia has used Kinzhal hypersonic missiles against Ukraine in the ongoing war. The Kinzhal aviation missile system with hypersonic aeroballistic missiles destroyed a large underground warehouse containing missiles & aviation ammunition. 2. Japanese PM has anounced that Japan will raise its investment target in India to 5 trillion yen or 3.2 lakh crore ($42 billion), over the next five years. Japan is one of India’s largest investors. 3. Bahrain has launched talks with India to procure Arjun Mk-II Main Battle Tanks. 4. World Championship's bronze medalist, Lakshya Sen of India has stunned defending champion Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia, to book a maiden final berth in the All England Open Championships. He is bidding to become only the 3rd Indian shuttler to win this prestigious title. 5. The Income Tax department has made the highest tax collection in its history in 2021-22. The direct tax collection numbers of current financial year stand at Rs 13.63 lakh crore as against to Rs 9 lakh crore in 2020-21. 6. India has started vaccinating children aged between 12-14 years. Also all above 60 are now eligible for the precautionary dose. 7. India's retail inflation has risen to an eight -month-high of 6.07% in Feb'22. This is the 2nd successive month that retail inflation has breached the RBI's upper margin of 6%. 8. India & Sri Lanka have signed an agreement for developing a 100 megawatt solar power plant in the island nations eastern port district of Trincomalee, as part of the efforts to strengthen bilateral economic partnership. 9.
