Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri became the first footballer to receive the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. A total of 12 Sports persons received this prestigious award. 3. More than 20 African countries have joined together to plant a giant wall of trees that will run across the continent to stop the spread of the Sahara Desert. The great green wall of Africa will stretch for 7000 kms. 4. Private defence manufacturer Economic Explosives Ltd has developed the country's 1st indigenous drones & loitering munition systems. It is yet another achievement under Make in India initiative. 5. PM Modi inaugurated the 340 km long PurvanchalExpressway, having the key feature of having a 3.2km-long airstrip to enable landing and taking off of IAF fighter planes during emergencies. 6. Third edition of Trilateral Maritime Exercise between India, Singapore and Thailand named as SITMEX ‘21 was held on 15 & 16 Nov ‘21 in the Andaman Sea.
