1) ISRO has launched the Brazil's Amazonia-1 Earth observation satellite along with 18 other smaller satellites into orbit on its PSLV on the 28th of Feb. Amazonia-1 is a first for Brazil's space industry. 2) Puducherry has been placed under President's rule after the government there collapsed following multiple resignations. The polls there are due in three months. 3) The COVID-19 vaccination drive for people above 60 years and those aged 45 and above with comorbidities began on 1st of Mar. 4) The Russian Space agency, Roscosmos, has successfully launched its first ever Arctic monitoring satellite that will monitor the Arctic's climate and environment. 5) The All-India Football Federation has announced that, Odisha will host the Indian Women's League (IWL). The dates of which will be announced shortly. 6) The 4th & the final test match of the ongoing Ind-Eng series commenced on 4th of March in Ahmedabad. India is leading the series by 2-1. 7) Mumbai City FC defeated ATK Mohun Bagan to win the ISL League Winner's Shield and claim the AFC Champions League spot in the final league game of the season. 8) India and Pakistan have agreed to strictly observe all agreements on ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) and other sectors. 9) The finance ministry has allowed all the private sector banks to participate in business related to government such as small savings schemes and collection of taxes pension payments. 10) Almost nine months after the Indo-China standoff began in Eastern Ladakh, both countries last week announced an agreement for their soldiers to disengage on either side of the Pangong Lake. < < Back
