National News:
1.      Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has tentatively scheduled the launch of the CMS-01 communication satellite on December. PSLV-C50, the 52nd mission of PSLV, will launch CMS-01 from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota.
2.      To attract tourists from Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Union Territory, Himachal Pradesh (HP) government has introduced adventure sports activities and has notified a paragliding site at Nainikhad, about 14 and 36 kilometers from Punjab and J&K border respectively.        
  
International News :

1.      The proposal for the trilateral meet was made by Uzbekistan and India has welcomed Uzbekistan interest to use the Chabahar port as a transit port. This would open up economic opportunities for the traders and business community of the region for both.
2.      Singapore is going to have the world’s first electric-powered air taxi service by the end of 2023.
3.      The French Cabinet recently presented a draft law that targets “Radical Islamism”. The law aims to envisage range of measures that includes school education reforms to make sure Muslim children do not drop out of school. ·        
Defence News :

1.      India and Russia held a two-day Passage Exercise in the Eastern Indian Ocean. The exercise aimed to enhance interoperability, imbibing best practices and improving understandabilities between the navies.
2.      The Defence Ministry has approved the creation of a new post in the Army- Deputy Chief for Military Operations and Strategic Planning. The Deputy Chief will deal with strategic planning, military operations, intelligence and operational logistics. This is the 3rd post of deputy chief in the Army.
3.      GRSE is set to launch Navy’s advanced frigate. These frigates are among the best in the world. The order for the three stealth frigates at a cost of nearly Rs. 19,289 crore. ·        
Sports News :

1.      The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the confirmed schedule and the qualification process for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup which is slated to be played in South Africa in 2023.
2.      Parthiv Patel, who announced to retire from all forms of the game on December 9, 2020, is the youngest wicketkeeper to make a Test debut in men's cricket.
3.      The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the itinerary for England’s tour of India, which will begin with a four-match Test series from February 5th, 2021. The third match of the series will be a day-night affair, which will be hosted in Ahmedabad.
