On 10^th April 2016, huge fire broke out at Puttingal temple in Kollam District of Kerala where a fireworks show was being conducted which is a part of the annual function. At least 108 people were killed & over a 100 were injured. The fire took place at around 3:30 am. 5 office bearers of the temple have surrendered so far.
