The Supreme Court recently laid down few guidelines for “incentivising the bystander or good Samaritan”.

1.     Bystander / Good Samaritan shall not be detained by the hospital authority or police station.

2.     No civil or criminal liability will be imposed.

3.     No compulsion of revealing names, details ,if compelled action shall be initiated against public officials & policemen.

4.     Certificate of appreciation shall be handed over to them.

5.     No compulsion of becoming a witness.
