BMCS (Bi- modular charge systems), a critical artillery ammunition which propels shells to distances over 30 km, will now be manufactured by Nagpur based Solar Industries India Ltd (STIL). Initial capacity will be 5 Lac per year & production will start in 2 years.

View: BMCS estimate requirement is over 10 Lac annually. Indigenous production will reduce dependency & reduce the price, apart from providing jobs.
