The Communications & IT Minister has recently planned to provide banking services to every village through the network of Common Services Centres (CSCs) run by the women Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). The govt has also planned to get connectivity under Bharat Net Programme which aims to connect all the gram panchayats.

View:  Women (VLEs) have played a crucial role in the Digital India Programme & have made 39 lakh people digitally literate in less than one year. This has made the villages digitally empowered & has made the start up scheme successful.
